Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Specialists – Part-time or Full-time job

FLOW Matters is committed to deliver high quality consultancy services as well as to develop state-of-the-art simulation software in the field of fluid dynamics, ranging from rarefied gas flows to turbulence, complex fluids rheology and multiphase flows. Its rapidly expanding range of activities and the tight connection with state-of-the-art research opens many possibilities to be involved in high-tech applications.

To keep up with Flow Matters expanding portfolio we are looking for more talents to strengthen our team.

Who are we looking for?

FLOW Matters is constantly looking for highly motivated and talented applicants with outstanding expertise in at least one of the following areas: flow physics, computational modeling of fluids flows, programming experience in coding for high-performance computing.

It is expected that an applicant can demonstrate to possess:

• Broad knowledge and experience in fluid dynamics, heat/mass transfer, rarefied gas flows, multiphase flows

• Proven experience in implementing custom physics models to solve multi-physics problems

• Proven experience in translating research questions into simulation models, planning and executing and effectively communicating results both written and oral towards industrial collaborators

• Demonstrate self-propelling and pro-active thinking and excellent organizational skills

• Fluent in English

• Extensive knowledge in LINUX, shell scripting, coding for HPC applications

• Desired: Hands-on experience with CFD tools, preferable STAR-CCM+, Fluent/CFX, Comsol and MATLAB

We typically look for PhD level applicants, but MSc are also invited to apply if they feel they match the requirements.

While scientific and technical skills are a must, we expect the successful applicant to be a good team player, to demonstrate independent thinking, to have excellent organizational and presentation (written and oral) skills, and to be customer-driven. Capacity to relate to industrial collaborators is also expected.

FLOW Matters is a young and dynamic company originated from Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e, Eindhoven, The Netherlands) specialized in consulting industrial partnersfor as well as to develop and license software for the simulation of fluid dynamics problems.

Our Eindhoven office is growing significantly over the coming year.

The company mission is to bring results from research in fluid dynamics fields from academy to the industrial partners.

For our consulting activities, in conjunction to standard commercial simulation software we develop our own state-of-the-art simulation codes based on Direct Simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) and Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) numerical methods.
